  • Any misleading information i.e product information, shipping and return policies may lead to account suspension or deactivation.
  • The seller’s address is considered the return address.

We will review your account frequently to ensure adherence to the policy. We have the right to remove any products that violets the guidelines.

  • Collections Of Africa is looking to showcase African inspired product or services.
  • The uniqueness of the product, functions, process of the production and materials used are a major contributing factor in our selection process.
  • Handmade should be part of the production process.
  • Materials that are processed and sourced locally will also be a determining factor.
  • We encourage competition in order to offer fair prices.

Your performance is rated in several areas to achieve a verified status. A Verified Status Badge will be shown on your shop page and will be highlighted in key sections of the website. This gives buyers the confidence to purchase from your shop. These are some of the key areas we will consider;

  • Keeping your account up to date with current information.
  • Average product star rating of 4 and above.
  • 24hrs response time.
  • Least average shipping time.
  • 20 successfully completed orders within 60 days with no returns and or cancellations.

We understand even the experienced sellers sometimes encounter unforeseen issues. Our goal is to make the platform safe and secure for both the buyer and the seller.

In a bid to provide great customer service, we urge sellers to keep the returns and or cancellation at minimal.If there is a pattern of repeated abuse with no solutions, your account may be suspended or permanently deactivated.

  • Additionally, if you have 4 cancellations or returns within 7 days your account will be suspended.
  • 4 concutive suspensions will result to account deactivation.
  • Your account will be deactivated if you have 15 consecutive cancellations or returns within 30 days.

Yes. Once you enroll as a vendor, the wholesale option will be enabled on your dashboard. You can pick and choose which products you want to offer on wholesale.

Wholesale buyers will be able to log in and only see wholesale prices.

The listing price includes a wholesale option. Showcase your work at no additional cost.

  • You have total control of when to change the listing status from wholesale to retail price and vice versa. 
  • You may also schedule a date range of when the wholesale prices apply.
  • Your customers can inquire about a product through our seamless “Ask a Question” link on the product page.

Enrollment

Register as vendor/seller by providing your email and password.

You will then be taken to the dashboard to set up your account.

Refund & Return, Cancellation and Shipping policies MUST be posted on the vendor’s store/shop.

Fee

We charge a flat fee per product listing. This fee is to mitigate the cost of operation. There is also a 5 – 7% commission that is charged when you make a sale for processing purpose depending on the plan.

Listing fee is non refundable.

Other fees
In addition to listing fee there are other transaction fees that seller will incur when depending on the region and the mode of payment. Please see the information below;

– Mpesa 1.5%  
– International transactions  – 3.8% of the total
– Internation transaction transaction fees.  – 2% of the total 

Mpesa Sales
– Payments transfers to Mpesa between – KES 100.00 – KES 1,500.00    –   KES 20.00
– Payments transfers to Mpesa between – KES 1,501.00 – KES 20,000.00  – KES 40.00
– Payments transfers to Mpesa from – KES 20,001.00 – KES 60.00
– Payments transfer to Bank Account   – KES 100.00

Incentive on share (IOS)

We are offering a discount in the posting fees if you share Collections Of Africa on social media

Shipping

Once an order has been placed, the seller has 48 hrs to accept the order otherwise the buyer will be refunded.

A reason must be provided to the buyer if the order is being cancelled.

In case of a delay due to unforeseen circumstances, the seller must notify the buyer immediately. If the buyer request for a refund within this period, Collections Of Africa will process a refund without any further notification to the seller.

  • Additionally, if you have 4 cancellations or returns within 7 days your account will be suspended.
  • 4 concutive suspensions will result to account deactivation.
  • Your account will be deactivated if you have 15 consecutive cancellations or returns within 30 days.

The seller will set their own shipping policies. Your business operations are within your control.

We recommend exploring and utilizing our courier partners for discounts and peace of mind. This will provide the buyer with a good experience.

The faster and smoother the shipment, the more sales you will make.

  • Seller must post clear shipping policy providing  processing, shipping period and any other important details.
  • It is seller’s responsibility to ensure the buyer has received their item.
  • We recommend various shipping methods with our courier partners for discounts and ease.
  • To avoid any problems, we urge the seller to provide a tracking number to the buyer. If the buyer has not received the order and request for a refund. We will refund the buyer.
  • Seller must notify the buyer of all shipping and custom fees in the shipping policies. Otherwise if a buyer declines to accept the order and requests for a refund, Collections Of Africa will honor the refund request to the buyer.
  • If there is a delay in the order fulfillment, the seller must update the buyer immediately and keep the buyer updated on the progress every 48hrs as long as the buyer is willing to wait. If the buyer chooses to cancel the order, Collections Of Africa will process the refund. This will not impact the seller negatively if there is a good reason why the order was delayed.
  • If the buyer has further inquiries about the order before it is shipped and the seller does not respond to the inquiry and ships the order, Collections Of Africa will honor the refund if the buyer requests it.
  • The seller will bear the cost of shipping if the wrong item is shipped to the buyer.
  • Additionally, if a seller does not comply with the guidelines, the return shipping cost will be covered by the seller.

Returns and Refunds

A seller will set their own return and refund policies. We recommend customer friendly policies for competitiveness.

We understand even the experienced sellers sometimes encounter unforeseen issues. Our goal is to make the platform safe and secure for both the buyer and the seller.

In case of a dispute, we encourage you to work with the buyer in resolving any issues. However, in cases where you have exhausted all avenues without a resolution, Collections Of Africa will step in to assist with a refund in situations such as the following among others;

  •  When a buyer did not receive purchased item.
  • The item is damaged upon arrival.
  • It is delivered late after the estimated delivery date timeframe.
  • It is not what the buyer ordered.

We hold payments up until the fullfilment of the purchases are complete including delivery and your refund policy period combined.

We will reverse the payment if a full  reimbursement is issued and if a partial refund is made, the seller receives the difference after the fees and commission proportionate to the payment is deducted.

We encourage the seller to try and resolve the issue amicably. If no resolution is provided, Collections Of Africa will refund the buyer whether the item is shipped back or not.

Should the seller agree with the buyer on who is covering the cost, we urge the seller to request for a tracking number from the buyer, otherwise if the seller has not received the item back within the stated shipping period, we will proceed to refund the buyer.

If the buyer request for a return address, the seller has 24 hrs to provide the return address. If the seller does not respond within the stated period, the default address on file will be provided to the buyer. The seller is responsible if the item is send to the wrong address.

Upon return, if the seller does not confirm the package reception within 7 days for shipment within the country, the item will be considered received.

Deactivating Account

Yes. You can deactivate your account at any time. 

However, if you deactivate your account before the end of the payment period, the fee for that period is non refundable.

No. Unfortunately once you deactivate your account all the information is deleted and cannot be retrieved.
